In this game, Deadpool was a mercenary named Wayde Wilson who got enlisted into the Marvel XMen training and weapons program. He was subject to a scientific experiment that gave him the power to regenerate physically from damage but the experiment left him horribly disfigured and drove him insane.

Deadpool expresses symptoms of schizophrenia where he hears two voices in his head which guide him through his missions. It was believed throughout history that people with mental illness were possessed by evil spirits when their illness was out of control. Deadpool hears a straight talking and sensible voice which illustrates an angel spirit, and he also hears a goofy larrikin voice which illustrates a demon spirit.

Deadpool has a filthy mouth but a heart of gold and goes about his missions with his weird, obscure, goofy and sometimes ridiculous ways of achieving his goals. Deadpool is on a mission to create a video game in his honour of himself to show everyone how “awesome he is.” He slices, dices, hacks ans shoots his enemies into mince meat and shredded cheese always hungry for one of Samantha’s Food Van Taco’s Chimichangas.

Please do not take the name of this band the wrong way. They are not saying that they merely gloat over death and destruction. Often in their songs, like the Dead Kennedys, they expose evil conspiracies. The name of the band is saying that the evils in the world drive you insane to the point where some people end up topping themselves. The lyrics try to relate to people with mental disorders by creating a sense of common ground with them to give them an outlet instead of bottling their problems up to the point where they end up exploding. The music is thrash metal, but not Satanist metal with evil lyrics, that is high octane and creates a sense of excitement.
